Dahal aborted agitation for power: Yadav

BIRATNAGAR, APR 10 - Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal (MJF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav has accused UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of aborting the agitation programmes of opposition alliance for the sake of political power.

He made such accusation while speaking to media here in Biratnagar on Friday. There was no logical ground to call off the strike after bringing the people and cadres on the streets for the same, leader Yadav remarked.

He claimed that he was betrayed by Dahal notwithstanding his trust on him. “Dahal’s words have no value,” he said, “Withdrawing the strike , despite the stand to not hold dialogues with the government unless our demands were met, is a betrayal to Madhesi, Janjati, Dalit and marginalised communities.”

Dahal had assured of not calling off the strike s until a day earlier, however, the very next day, he changed his words immediately after his meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, Yadav accused.
